The Lancers, who brought only three runners to the meet, were pleasantly surprised with the way that their girls’ were able to perform.
“We had a very nice meet. Hopefully we will be able to improve and get more girls out on the course for the remainder of the season,” Coach Randy Fisher said.
Sophomore Megan O’ Grady led the way for the Lancers as she finished fourth overall with a time of 20:38.
Junior Jessica Albers also had a strong performance as she finished eighth overall with a time of 24:40. Senior Britteny Williams finished in ninth place with a time of 29:40.
“Everyone that ran did very well. All we can do is run our best and let the girls have fun,” Fisher added. Hopefully we will be able to work towards improvement at the SDSU meet.”
